Transporting people and cargo, scouting out specific sites or locations, and even more powerful combat effects all require the use of vehicles. Sometimes a craft will be critical to a mission or situation. Other times, a craft will be all but unnoticed.
Vehicle Values
All vehicles have body values much like characters. These values typically range from 1 to 5 just like characters. However, vehicle values are slightly different than character values.
Speed (SPD) The total speed value is broken into two halves; ‘up’ and ‘flat’ speed. Up speed is equivalent to acceleration or short bursts. Flat speed is a measure of the absolute top speed. Speed values are written as fractions with the up speed on top and flat speed on bottom. So a vehicle with a speed of 5/2 would have a quick acceleration but a slow top speed.
Endurance (END) The overall strength and durability of the vehicle’s body is measured by endurance. This determines the damage and strain that a vehicle can withstand. Endurance is also a measure of payload limitations. Armor and frame structure help to augment this value.
Agility (AGL) The cornering ability, breaking speed and handling of a vehicle are all determined by agility. This measures how well a vehicle responds and maneuvers in high stress situations.
Ground Transports
XV20 Roverbike (SPD:3/3, END:2, AGL: 5)
As small as a vehicle can get without becoming a hover board, the XV20 is the size of a motorcycle but has an extended air shield that covers the rider. Referred to as the “Roverbike” for it’s ability to cover any terrain, the XV20 is designed for personal mobility and scouting. The XV20 is able to hold two passengers and only light weapons.
Spear (SPD:4/5, END: 3, AGL:1)
At the size of an average car, the spear is an ordinary looking vehicle. It’s speed, however, is anything but ordinary. Designed for quick reconnaissance and transport, the Spear is one of the fastest land vehicles on record. The Spear can hold up to five passengers and an average size of cargo.
TR-T5 (SPD:1/2, END:5, AGL:1)
Thundering slowly across the battlefield, the TR-T5 is a crawling fortress. With heavy armor and defensive weapons and devises, the TR-T5 has been referred to as the “Turtle.” The size of a jumbo jet, the turtle can hold up to 260 passengers with cargo and weapons. Designed as a mobile headquarters, the Turtle can sustain it’s occupants on food, water and air for up to a month. An optional lower bay reduces passengers to 180, but allows the Turtle to store up to 12 light vehicles.
Ground Assault
Stiletto (SPD:4/5, END: 3, AGL:1)
A modified Spear, the Stiletto has the speed of the fastest ground unit, and the armor and armaments of a standard combat unit.
Cavalry (SPD:3/3, END:4, AGL:3)
An all-terrain favorite, the Cavalry is quick, agile and unstoppable. Combined with heavy armor and average weapons, the Cavalry is a welcome sight on the battlefield for it’s allies. The Cavalry can hold up to 8 people with light cargo.
TR-T5A (SPD:1/2, END:5, AGL:1)
A modified Turtle, the TR-T5A is an advanced form of the crawling fortress. The T5A is capable of transforming it’s upper bay into a battle ready turret deck. Crewmembers can either manually operate each of the 10 heavy turrets or control them from one computer console below deck.
Air Transports
Mother Wing 3T (SPD:2/3, END:4, AGL:1)
Massive and awe-inspiring, the Mother Wing 3T is a modern marvel. It’s sheer size is an odd and eerie sight and a tribute to modern flight technology. Slightly larger than a football field, the Mother Wing is able to transport up to 900 passengers and 80 crew with extreme cargo. The Mother Wing is also design to exit and enter the atmosphere allowing it to dock with orbiting stations. With it’s onboard recreation area and communications center, the Mother Wing is the ultimate advancement in luxury travel.
Air Bus (SPD:3/3, END:4, AGL:2)
The Air Bus is the typical mode of transporting up to 100 passengers and heavy cargo over great distances quickly. Not much has changed from it’s inherited passenger jet design.
Pharaoh (SPD:2/4, END:3, AGL:3)
The Pharaoh was designed for special mission teams, of eight or less, on deployed assignments. It houses several computer and science stations as well as a mission planning table and communications center. The front end of the Pharaoh (known as the “Slave”) can detach and function as an all terrain ground unit capable of carrying up to six crew members and average cargo. (Slave SPD:3/2, END:3, AGL:2)
StarHawk (SPD:2/3, END:2, AGL:3)
The StarHawk is a small crew cargo speeder. It is designed to transport cargo in record time or under emergency situations. It has typically been used for medical and scientific transports but has also been very adept at transporting small strike teams in military operations. The bulk cargo area can detach from the craft in order to better position the loading bay in difficult environments. (Hauler SPD:1/2, END:2, AGL:2)
Nightrunner (SPD:4/4, END:1, AGL:2)
A sleek fast transport craft designed strictly for military operations. The Nightrunner has elusive capabilities that allow it to hide from convention detection methods including stealth drive, silent mode, optical camouflage and scan distorters. The craft is capable of transporting upto eight personnel with minor equipment.
Glory Car (SPD:3/4, END:4, AGL:4)
The Glory Car is personal transportation for the air accessible. If you have the permit, hover cars are great personal vehicles. The Glory Car can carry up to 6 passengers with average cargo.
Air Assault
Stinger (SPD:5/5, END:2, AGL:5)
Small and powerful, Stingers are ideal defensive vehicles for profile armies. Available in either pilot or computer controlled versions, the Stinger is an effective weapon… especially in squads.
V-9 Bomber (SPD:4/4, END:3, AGL:3)
A small fighter design refitted for air-to-ground assault. The V-9 places more ability on stealth and hit-and-run tactics that head-to-head combat. The V-9 is also fast enough to ensure a good escape from retaliation.
Aero-Fighter (SPD:5/4, END:3, AGL:4)
Also referred to as the “Strider” for it’s ability to navigate easily from air to space, the Aero-Fighter is the advanced fighter of choice for most profiles. The Aero-Fighter performs best in atmosphere situations, but is effective in no-atmosphere situations also.
