Professions define a character's contributions to society or the method and means they make a living. Professions provide the character with a small set of core skills when starting out and allow the character an advantage. When using a core skill, the player adds an additional die to the character's dice pool for the skill roll.
Artist
Creative souls and persuasive works, artists use their talents for much more than paying bills. A good artist moves their audience, a great artist moves their audience to move others. She understands the emotional power and influence that a well crafted project can grant and occasionally uses her powers of deception for selfish means. Some of the highest paid designers and craftsmen are artists by nature. Some of the most brilliant thefts and cons are pulled by artists or their apprentices.

Coder
The true magician of the tech industry. Coders use their computer skills to control and manipulate almost any system that is equipped with electronic components. Coders have their own set of rules and do not normally follow any set of laws. A good coder can complete her mission in record time while, at the same time, take advantage of the accessed systems for her own personal needs. A coder is always writing new code or stealing new code... both methods are common among their piers and other coders are always hopping to find their code pop up in unexpected places.

Handler
Masters of robots and metalface alike. The highly advanced nature of robots and metalface requires high-tech science, exacting details, deep understanding and subtle communication. The complex requirements make this a highly competitive field and controllers are extremely secretive about their methods and knowledge. However, a good handler can maintain a small army of the latest robots or a handful of metalface clients. Most metalface have a personal handler that they confide in about technical issues that they would never repeat to anyone else.

Diplomat
The ultimate smooth talker and deal maker. Diplomats are not only skilled in profile negotiations but also in coercion, deception and bribery. Even the best of diplomats with the noblest of intentions must occasionally draw upon their skills to manipulate the opinions of others. Diplomats serve as excellent shop keepers, equipment buyers, and even tradesman as they are capable of getting the most benefit from any deal. The highest paid diplomats are placed in key executive positions and leadership roles.

Doctor
Passionate and caring, the doctor knows no greater need than her patient. She has an unconscious connection to the suffering of others and cannot abide hopelessness. Through her skills, she not only heals and repairs, but tends to the emotions and spiritual strength of the injured. Her mechanical skills are may not great, but her knowledge of the soul and the metalface condition allows her to treat both human and metalface alike.

Engineer
The engineer makes his living from understanding, designing, creating, and reverse-engineering technical devices and structures. She is part artist, part scientist and part problem-solver. An engineer will be presented with a problem, a budget and a timeline. A good engineer will solve the problem under budget and on time. A great one will solve three; the one presented and the two that the client was unaware of.These design masters are found as leaders and coordinators on the most complex and massive work sites in the solar system. And the metalface engineers will often run several work sites at once.

Skilled in various vehicles, driving/piloting tactics, sciences regarding the understanding of transport and factors that effect a vehicle. Also skilled in navigating dangerous routes, maintaining vehicle performance, and a wealth of contacts in most ports over half the world.

Mechanic
When something needs to be built, or destroyed, the mechanic is the ultimate tool. She knows how to get the job done and can do it faster and cheaper than anyone else. Mechanics are also highly skilled laborers capable of practically any tough, dirty or dangerous job. A good mechanic can accomplish any task. A great one can do it with just one tool.

Big guns, bold moves, brash style, all for a bargain price. The mercenary makes his living from bullying and breaking whoever and whatever is in his way. Often employed through undercover meetings or off-the-record accounts, mercenaries are seen as a last resort to use when all else fails.

Scientist
Intellect and inspiration fuel the doctor. Her awards are many and recognitions are great. She has devoted herself to her studies and is well prepared to meet any challenge. Scientists can be from many different studies such as medical discoveries, scientific inventors, theoretical advisers and even psychological councilors. Regardless of the study, every scientist commits all their resources to accomplishing their tasks.

Soldier
Loyal, determined and deadly. Soldiers are often retained on a salary by high-paying profiles in need of armies or a little extra muscle. Soldiers have various protocols for practically every situation. Their is a very strict hierarchy among soldiers based on rank, service, and field time. There is no battle or conflict that soldiers are not trained to handle.

Tracker
Both scout and detective, the tracker is always on the lookout for hidden truths while also diligently searching for his goal. Trackers are not limited to the information retrieval game, but also find themselves employed as pilots, navigators, guides and even spies. A good tracker will deliver any information to his employer. A great tracker will deliver it to two or more employers.
