A metalface generator is a device that automates the connections between a cyberneural heart and a t-bot model in ways that even the most skilled humans are unable to successfully duplicate. While the generators themselves must be manned and run by qualified scientists, and every metalface that is generated must have a transference coach, the machine itself handles over 72 trillion calculations a second for each of the 9000 neural connections.

It takes over three years and a team of more than a hundred coders and scientists to create a generator. Therefore, they are rare and highly sought after. Access to a generator must be authorized and approved and is usually only allowable when a person is undergoing transference.

Generators are model specific, which means a Servite generator cannot create a Vectoron metalface. However, Earth Council has the only two multi-model generators known to exist and they can create Servite, Tekker, and Golem models.

The other 15 generators are controlled by the Genesis Foundation (two Servite and one Golem), CyTech Alliance (four Tekker) and Baxter Industries (5 Vectoron and 3 Akias).

These profiles charge for use of their generators, but usually waive charges when performing transference on one of their employees.
